Speaker 2:Let's go. A stranger stares, dim bathroom light. The man I see? He's wearing my skin. Is he a tale? Or where I begin?
Speaker 2:After all these years, who am I now? A broken vow or still, somehow the dreamer lost in endless skies? Or just a mask in a grey disguise? The echoes fade of who I was. Each choice a scar, each gain a loss. Footsteps wander streets now estranged. Has the soul of me been rearranged? Trumpets rise like storms in my chest, filling gaps of each unspoken quest. Who speaks within whose voice it shows? Am I my secrets or what the world knows? After all these years, who am I now? A shadow passed but gained not much. The boy who ran From fears and lies? Or a jaded man With weathered eyes? The stars still write their script untouched. For years I've sought, but gained not much. The clock won't tell the truth, it hides. Who am I now? Where do I reside? I was a ghost in the spotlight glow.
Speaker 2:Dusty strings would steal the show. Dusty strings would steal the show. Fingers dance like a whispered breeze. The desert nights sang my melody. We rolled on wheels through endless plains. Every mile sang freedom's refrain. The desert stars were our ceiling high. Were our ceiling high. A six-string prayer to the open sky.
Speaker 2:Back when I played in a band, dreams in our pockets and songs in our hands. We strummed our hearts till the morning. Land, oh, I miss back when, when I played in a band Smoke-smeared bars and neon haze Crowds that cheered in a fiery blaze. Every chord was a truth, untold, a story wrapped in strains of gold. Now the guitar sits in a quiet room, Echoes, lost in the evening's gloom. But if I close my eyes I swear it's real. That desert wind I still can feel. Back when I played in a band, dreams in our pockets and songs in our hands. We strummed our hearts till the morning. Land, oh, I miss. Back when I played in a band. Guitar, solo, guitar, solo. Gold in the shadows, thank you.
Speaker 2:Standing on mountains where the echoes call Forever is rising. Won't let us fall. Carved out of thunder, etched in the sky, etched in the sky, dreamers and drifters always chasing why. Roots to the heavens, branches to the breeze. Greatness is timeless. It bends our knees. We're the fire that never fades. Born from ashes, we elevate. The stars will sing. They know our name. Through endless time, we stake our claim A temple of yearning, brick by stone, built with the hands of the unknown. In the weight of silence, voices remain A whisper eternal, a driving refrain In every heartbeat, in every cry. We stand unwavering. We reach the high. Through chaos and calm, we rise again. Endless the cycle. No start, no end. We're the fire that never fades. Born from ashes, we are loving. The stars will sing. They know our name. Through endless time we've stayed the same.
Speaker 2:The Jukebox Hums. Oh, the fizz hangs in the air Crowded room, but I don't have a care. Oh, the Friday night stops where we'll sway. Hearts are racing in a rhythm that won't delay. Hold my hand, let's twirl and spin around. The Friday night dance is where love is found. The guitar twang keeps tapping at my feet.
Speaker 2:In the corner I spy a face so sweet. She's laughing, twirling, a vision in a dress. One glance and my pulse is a tangled mess. Oh, the Friday night storm swear will sway. Hearts are racing in a rhythm that won't delay. Hold my hand, let's twirl and spin around. The Friday night dance is where love is found. Under colored lights, we're flying free Every step. She smiles back at me. The world fades out with every move we make. This Friday night reveal is no mistake. We're lost in rhythm. Till the morning glow. Our steps align and set the floor aglow. The clock strikes twelve, but we don't break away. The Friday night dance is calling up to stand. Oh, the Friday night storm's where we'll sway. Hearts are racing in a rhythm that won't delay. Hold my hand, let's swirl and spin around. Friday night dance is where love is found.
Speaker 3:Otis Riddick, an iconic figure in the world of soul music, was born on September 9, 1941 in Dawson, georgia. Raised in a deeply religious family, his love for music was fostered at an early age when he began singing in the Venable Baptist Church Choir. His early life involved a myriad of jobs, including well digging and gas station attendant, before he found his true calling. In spite of the hardships, he managed to develop his musical talents, which soon set him on a path towards an illustrious career.
Speaker 3:Fending's journey into professional music began with Johnny Jenkins' hit Vibe Poppers, where he served as a driver and musician. His talent shone through during a recording session at Stax Records, leading to his first single, these Arms of Mine. This song was a commercial success and marked the beginning of Redding's fruitful relationship with Stax. Over the years, he produced numerous hits, including I've Been Loving you Too Long, mr Pitiful, and the posthumously released Sitting on the Dock of the Bay, the first posthumous number one record on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Red charts. Despite his tragic death in a plane crash on December 10, 1967, redding's influence on music remains undiminished. Thank you.
Speaker 4:I see my shadow in the streets glow. It whispers secrets that I don't know. I chase reflections in the night, a puzzle missing half its light. Who am I and where do I go? A drifting leaf on a stream's flow? The horns cry out but don't reply. A silent ache beneath the sky. Time's a thief. It steals my name. It twists the rules to its cruel game. I wander roads that fade away. A ghost of dreams. I couldn't stay. The violins weep A soft despair. The world spins around. I stand still, an empty heart I cannot fill. Who am I and where do I go? A wayward star that's lost its glow? The horns call out, but still I hear An echo tangled up in fear. Each step I take feels like a cost. I try to find what I have lost. The answer's hiding out of reach. A lesson life forgot to teach. Each step I take Feels like a cost. I try to find what I have lost. The answer's hiding out of reach. A lesson life forgot to teach.
Speaker 2:River flows wide, can't see the end. Muddy waters, ripple, swallowing bands, moon drips, silver like sorrow, tears, heart pounds, heavy drowning, fears Patting through shadows, ghosts on the wind, past towns, forgotten places. I've seen Hear the hum of the night. It's whispered song. The river keeps moving. Can't stay long. Oh Mississippi, your veins run deep. You cradle the secrets, the ones I keep. Your bluesy, current sings without a care. Life's a storm and I'm lost out there. And I'm lost out there.
Speaker 2:Saw a figure on shore, a stranger's cry, old man with the sack size Like the sky, played his soul on brass, bleeding rust Left me thinking. Love turns to dust. Wake up to sunrise. Red like the flame. River still calls, but not my name. Distance rolling steady, deep is my pain. Can't turn back. It all feels the same. Oh, mississippi, your veins run deep. You cradle the secrets, the ones I keep. Your bluesy, current sings without a care. Life's a storm and I'm lost out there, guitar solo. Oh, mississippi, your veins run deep. You cradle the secrets, the ones I keep. Your blues and current Sings without a care. Life's a storm and I'm lost out there, lost out there, guitar solo. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Shattered dreams, no calm in sight. We keep chasing shadows, running from the fight. Peace is the only answer, the only way. Lay down the stones that build walls every day. Open your face, let the anger fade. Peace, it's the only answer, the choice we've made. Children staring hollow, no laughter, sound, barren fields where hope once grew in the ground. Steel cuts deeper than words can ever reach. A silent truth ignored, something no one will preach. Peace is the only answer, the only call. Strip away the hatred that chains us all. Turn your gaze to the stars. Let division decay. Peace is the only answer. Let it guide our way. A tremble in the air, echoes of love forgotten. We've grown too cold. Now our roots are rotten. What's a life without light, without unity's fire? Can't we find in each other what all hearts desire? Peace is the only answer, the only tune. Let our spirits harmonize under the moon. Shake these chains.
Speaker 4:Let the past fall away.
Speaker 4:Peace is the only answer for a brighter day. Answer for a brighter day. Raindrops dance on my umbrella's edge. Grey skies paint the streets like a quiet pledge. I saw you smile through the drizzle's haze, like a spark of sunshine on a cloudy day. In the rhythm of the rain, I found my way. Of the rain, I found my way. Your laughter broke the clouds and stole the gray. Every You're my color in a world of black and white. Puddles shimmer like mirrors at our feet. We leave footprints where our hearts quietly meet. You took my hand without a single word.
Speaker 4:Suddenly, the rain became less absurd. In the rhythm of the rain, I found my way. Your laughter broke the clouds and stole the gray. Every step together feels so right. You're my color In a world of black and white. Rain can't stop the magic in the air. We'll dance through every storm without a care, echoing heartbeats like a thunder song, with you by my side, where I belong. In the rhythm of the rain, I found my way. Your laughter broke the clouds and stole the grave. Every step together feels so right. You're my color In a world of black and white. Thank you.
